Mindy Klein DeVane, CFP™

Mindy DeVane, CFP™, is a founder of DeVane Financial Advisors with her husband and partner, Ken.

Since 1986, Mindy DeVane has taken pride in providing her clients with the highest level of financial expertise and personal service. She offers a disciplined, common-sense approach to successful investing – first developing a clear understanding of your investment objectives and risk tolerance, then helping to design a portfolio to balance risk tolerance and growth.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in journalism and her MBA in finance from the University of Florida, Mindy worked for several nationally recognized brokerage firms including Salomon Smith Barney, Raymond James and First Union Securities. After 16 years working for others, Mindy and Ken recently opened DeVane Financial Advisors, an independent investment firm in 2001. Both Mindy and Ken are registered representatives of VSR Financial Services, Inc., member NASD/SIPC.

Mindy holds the professional designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP™), a Master of Science degree in Financial Planning, and in addition to her general securities license, she holds a Uniform Investment Adviser Representative and insurance and annuity licenses.

Mindy appears in the 2004-2005 edition of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, the 57th edition of Who’s Who in America, the 21st edition of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and the 22nd edition of Who’s Who in American Women.

She is the chairman of the Ambassadors for the Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Membership Retention for the Temple Terrace Junior Women’s Club, Publicity Chair for the Temple Terrace Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society, a charter member of Vivo! -- Florida Orchestra Guild, past chairman of the Sword of Hope Guild of the American Cancer Society and volunteer board member of the American Cancer Society. Mindy is a member in good standing of the Financial Planning Association, participating in pro-bono volunteer activities and the speaker’s bureau.

Kenneth M. DeVane

In financial services, and in any business, a reputation for quality service and integrity is earned by creating satisfied, knowledgeable customers. With more than fifteen years of experience in helping investors, Kenneth DeVane has keen insight into building effective professional relationships. He understands each client's need for investment advice and the corresponding level of service.

Kenneth served as a Vice President - Investment Officer at First Union Securities before starting DeVane Financial Advisors in 2001. He holds Series 7, 63, 65, in addition to life and health insurance licenses and has studied engineering at St. Petersburg Junior College and Harvey Junior College. Kenneth specializes in investment management (with an emphasis on technical analysis) for pre-retirement professionals.

Active in his community, Kenneth is a member of the Temple Terrace Municipal Code Enforcement Board, the Temple Terrace Community Redevelopment Agency, the Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce, and the Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club.
